After the madness that occurred with the MPAA backtracking on their decision to give Yoga Hosers an R (It has now been granted the PG-13 rating that Kevin Smith desired), we now have a confirmed release date for the film. Yoga Hosers will be hitting the big screen on 29th July, but the film is going on a short tour from June. Obviously, the tour is in the USA, so those of us in the UK will have to wait a little long or dig into our wallets and nab a flight to the US. The release dates are as follows:
6/1 – New Orleans, LA at the Joy Theater
6/2 – Ponte Vedra, FL at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
6/6 – Houston, TX at The Houston Improv
6/12 – Columbus, OH at Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse
7/8 – Durham, NC at The Carolina Theatre
7/12 – San Jose, CA at The Improv
7/17 – San Francisco, CA at Cobbs Comedy Club
We’re always excited to see what Kevin Smith is up to, because love him or hate him, his films are something else. Tusk was, in my opinion, wonderfully bizarre and with Yoga Hosers set to take place in the same universe, Yoga Hosers is high on my watch list.
Yoga Hosers stars Harley Quinn Smith, Lily Rose-Depp, Austin Butler, Tyler Posey, Ralph Garman, Jason Mewes and Johnny Depp, who will be reprising his role as the super nutty Guy Lapointe from Tusk.
