A new poster has landed for meta, film-within-a-film horror satire Found Footage 3D, ahead of the film’s festival run which begins with its world premiere at the Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival this weekend.
The story concerns a group of filmmakers who head out to a cabin in the woods to make “the first 3D found footage horror film”. When the evil spectre from the film starts appearing in the behind-the-scenes footage however, the group realise they are being dragged into their own movie.
Carter Roy and Alena von Stroheim star, alongside Chris O’Brien, Tom Saporito and critic and Scream scribe Scott Weinberg, who also co-produces. Experienced sound mixer/editor Steven DeGennaro wrote and directed, making his directorial feature debut. Among the film’s producers is one Kim Henkel, who scripted and produced Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Saw Massacre.
This new poster comes hot on the heels of the film’s first trailer, and a handful of official stills that were released last week. Found Footage 3D’s next stop will be the closing day of London’s Horror Channel Frightfest, on Monday 29th August.
