Director Mike Flanagan has a brilliant track record for creating pretty perfect horror films. Absentia, Oculus and Hush are all very different, but excellent additions to their respective horror sub-genres. Most recently, Flanagan breathed fresh life into the Ouija franchise with Ouija: Origin of Evil, a striking and brilliantly spooky second addition.
Flanagan took to Twitter to reveal that there is, in fact, a connection between Ouija: Origin of Evil and Oculus as the same Lasser Glass appears in both films. The Lasser Glass is, of course, the centre of the supernatural events in Oculus, but in Origin of Evil the glass is in the basement, waiting for those of you with keen eyes to spot its whereabouts. Mind blown? Ours is.
The director then confounded again, when he tweeted, “Was it the board? Or was it the mirror….” Well, don’t leave us on the edge of our seats Mike… Which was it?!

P.S. the Lasser Glass also appears in Absentia.
