Production is soon to get underway on the second season of Showtime’s Yellowjackets, and we’ve got some more exciting casting news to share with you!
Elijah Wood (Maniac, Come to Daddy) has joined the ensemble cast for a season-long guest arc. According to Deadline, “Wood will play Walter, a dedicated citizen detective who will challenge Misty (Christina Ricci) in ways she won’t see coming.”
Also new to the cast is Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi), playing the adult version of Lottie. Off her medication, teenage Lottie is plagued by visions after surviving the plane crash that kickstarts the events of the show. The first season teased that she made it out of the woods alive, with a voicemail message suggesting she was involved in Travis’s death.
Yellowjackets was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and combines elements of psychological horror, survival epic, and coming-of-age drama. The series follows a high school girls soccer team whose plane crashes in the wilderness, leading them to descend into savage clans.
