From writer-director Elle Callahan (Head Count), upcoming fantasy-horror movie Witch Hunt is set in a modern-day America where magic is real—and the trailer isn’t shy about showing off its powers.
In the film, witches are persecuted by U.S. authorities, but teenager Claire and her family are part of an intricate network that helps these women escape across the border to seek asylum in Mexico. However, when their mode of transport is disrupted by federal witch hunters, trouble befalls the family as they struggle to hide two young witches within the walls of their home. As witch hunters close in and strange magic begins haunting the family, Claire discovers that she may have more in common with these witches than she could have ever imagined.
Gideon Adlon (The Craft: Legacy), Abigail Cowen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Christian Camargo (Dexter), and Elizabeth Mitchell (The Purge: Election Year) star in Witch Hunt, which was released in the UK earlier this year. Audiences across the pond can catch it next month when it comes to theatres, digital, and on demand on October 1st.
