Wide Eye Releasing has acquired the rights to the slasher film Don’t Look, the first feature from director Luciana Faulhaber (The Girl Who Invented Kissing). The film’s plot is unsurprising as it follows a group of young people as they head on a Thanksgiving getaway, only to be tormented by a psycho killer.
When speaking about the film, Faulhaber said:
“It was important for me to create work that shows the female characters as they are in real life – none of us are waiting to be saved by some prince charming.”
A slasher film is the perfect opportunity to unleash strong, independent women, so we look forward to seeing Faulhaber’s realistic depiction of females caught in a drastic situation.
Don’t Look stars director Faulhaber, as well as Jeff Berg, Jarrod Robbins, Curtis K. Case, Lindsay Eshelman, and Javier E. Gómez. The film will premiere in LA later this year, before being released on VOD.
