Nico van den Brink’s Dutch horror short The Burden is getting a feature film adaptation—and it’s in good hands. Horror maestros James and Wan and Sam Raimi will be producing the picture under their respective banners, Atomic Monster and Ghost House Pictures.
The Burden follows a young woman who visits her boyfriend’s family home only to learn about a sinister history with his neighbour. The rights for the film were picked up by JS Entertainment and Starlight Media.
New Line and Atomic Monster are also adapting van den Brink’s horror short Sweet Tooth.
