The next instalment in the V/H/S franchise, V/H/S/94, is set to hit Shudder next month—and the trailer teases five new tapes, one nightmare, and a whole lot of gore.
Here’s the official synopsis: After the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape, a brutish police swat team launches a high intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult compound whose collection of pre-recorded material uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.
Filmmakers this time around include David Bruckner (director of The Night House and The Ritual), Simon Barrett (director of Seance and writer of You’re Next and The Guest), Timo Tjahjanto (director of May the Devil Take You and co-director of the V/H/S/2 segment “Safe Haven”), Chloe Okuno (director of the horror short Slut), Ryan Prows (director of Lowlife), and Jennifer Reeder (director of Knives and Skin), the latter of whom is helming the wraparound story. Filmmaking collective Radio Silence, the trio behind Ready or Not, served as producers.
V/H/S/94 arrives on Shudder in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand on October 6th. Hit play on the trailer below!
