After just two seasons, USA Network has decided not to move forward with another season of The Purge TV series.
According to Deadline, the decision follows a significant drop in viewership after the first season. A network-wide shift toward more live and unscripted programming is also said to have been a factor.
The Purge is set in a dystopian United States where, for a 12-hour period every year, all crime—including murder—is legal. James DeMonaco, who created the film franchise of the same name, served as an executive producer.
