TRAIN TO BUSAN SEQUEL GETTING ANIMATED FOLLOW-UP?

Posted on: August 24th, 2020

Zombie hit Train to Busan got an animated prequel, Seoul Station—and now its sequel may get the same treatment! Director Yeon Sang-ho has revealed that talks about making an animated prequel to Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula have already begun.

Peninsula is set four years after the total decimation of South Korea that we witnessed in Train to Busan. Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. But when his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best or worst of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.

According to the director, Peninsula’s prequel would further explore the relationship between Unit 631, a rogue militia, and Min-jung, one of the survivors.
