If you think you’d seen it all with Kevin Smith’s Tusk last year, then prepare to be proved wrong. This trailer for Yoga Hosers barely makes sense, but appears to be about murderous Nazi sausages. Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp shout “Colleen!” a lot and Johnny Depp returns as Guy Lapointe from Tusk, showing that the film will be taking place in that universe. Justin Long is also back, but this time he plays a dude called Yogi Bayer and he’s most certainly not a walrus.
It’s very weird, but we’re intrigued by the film’s obvious lack of care in making sense and its determination to be a fun and colourful load of nonsense. We’re wondering if Kevin Smith is just taking the mick a bit now and trying to be strange for strange’s sake… Who knows?
Yoga Hosers has been written and directed by Kevin Smith and further stars Stan Lee, Haley Joel Osmont, Kevin Conroy and Adam Brody. You can catch the film when it is released on 29th July 2016 in the USA.
