Publisher The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild has released a trailer for Saturnalia, an upcoming survival horror game from Italian indie developer Santa Ragione.
Inspired by the Saturnalia holiday, an ancient Roman festival celebrated in mid-December, the game takes place in Gravoi, an isolated village on the island of Sardinia that is steeped in ancient ritual. Playing as a cast of characters who will disappear for good if they meet their demise, you’ll investigate the lives of ordinary citizens who are determined to embrace the old ways—or defy them. With light as your only weapon, move through the ever-changing labyrinth of the village hunting for answers, discovering haunting secrets, and learning the truth behind the village’s traditions.
Saturnalia will arrive in the Epic Games Store in 2021. Check out the trailer below, which is compiled from gameplay and footage taken during location scouting.
