The trailer for the Icelandic horror-thriller I Remember You (Ég Man Þig) is sinister and chilling, even though not a single word is spoken. It’s only 52-seconds long, but the black-and-white photography coupled with a quietly menacing score, makes for an effortlessly creepy watch that bursts with mystery and intrigue.
Synopsis:
A story about a young man and woman who move into a small abandoned town in Iceland to renovate and old house. Little do they know the town has a dark history.
I Remember You comes from director Oskar Thor Axelsson, who directed the 2012 crime-thriller Black-Game, and also 3 episodes of the TV series Trapped.
We think the film looks very promising and love that the trailer refuses to give away clear plot points, but still manages to convey an atmosphere that is subtly laced with dread. It’s beautiful and completely unnerving; a great contrast that should deliver a film that is scary and visually impressive.
