“What’s wrong with your pumpkin…?”
As the great Buffy Summers once hypothesised, the life of a pumpkin is pretty sad. Can you imagine just growing peacefully among your friends, and then someone snatches you up? Not only that, but they gut you, pull out your innards, and set you on fire!
Has anyone ever wondered how the pumpkins feel about this?
Yes, writer-director Justin Harding had this thought, and thus we have Carved.
In the delightfully macabre trailer for this Hulu horror-comedy, we see a particularly sinister looking pumpkin take revenge for the many centuries of abuse its kind has suffered.
Taking place at a Historical revival fair on Halloween Night, the highlight of the evening is a pumpkin carving contest. However, things take an unexpected turn when those about to carve become the target of a pumpkin-led manhunt.
Seeming like the perfect slice of light-hearted Halloween fun, Carved stars Corey Fogelmanis, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Chris Elliott, and Chucky star Jackson Kelly.
Set to debut on October 21st, Carved is part of Hulu’s annual Huluween streaming event, and seems like a sure-fire way to add some laughs to the spookiest night of the year.
