The cast for The Purge series is beginning to shape up very nicely and three new actors have been added. They are Banshee’s Lili Simmons, Jigsaw’s Hannah Emily Anderson and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning’s Lee Tergesen.
They will join Amanda Warren, Colin Woodell, Gabriel Chavarria and Jessica Garza, who will be starring in the series that will be set during the 364 days of the year where the Purge is not happening. It’s an interesting and refreshing idea that will breathe life into The Purge, which has a third sequel planned in The First Purge later this year with director Gerard McMurray.
Anthony Hemingway will direct the Pilot episode and we expect the series to land around the same time as The First Purge. 10 episodes are currently planned and the series will hit the Syfy channel later this year.
