THE WALKING DEAD SPIN-OFF “DEAD CITY” SETS JUNE 18th PREMIERE

Posted on: April 5th, 2023

It seems like you just can’t keep a dead guy down…

Despite the main series coming to a climactic finish this past November, The Walking Dead still has life in its zombified soul yet.

The franchise is now very much alive with spin-off tales, with Fear the Walking Dead set to conclude this spring, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon set for a tentative 2023 premiere.

The spin-off that is currently foremost in fans minds is without question The Walking Dead: Dead City. Bringing the series to the much bigger canvas of New York City, the premise opens new avenues of chaos for the series.

Focusing on Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan and Laura Cohan’s Maggie, the series will follow the two at odds characters as they navigate the post-apocalyptic metropolis.

Series fans will no-doubt be delighted to learn that this past week AMC announced that Dead City will premiere on June 18th 2023.

The pilot episode launches at 10pm Eastern Time, with subsequent episodes airing at 9pm ET and the series set to conclude on July 23rd 2023.

It will all depend on viewing figures if Dead City is as successful as its parent show and Fear the Walking Dead. Or will it founder like The Walking Dead: World Beyond? Only time will tell, and we’ll be here to report the results.
