Fans have been eager to discover when they are likely to get their hands on Rob Zombie’s latest flick 31 and it could be as early as this September. Those of you in North America will be pleased to know that Saban Films has acquired the distribution rights to 31 and are planning to release it later this year – hooray! Hopefully distribution throughout the rest of the world will follow closely behind, because we’re craving a release in the UK over here!
Synopsis:
Five carnival workers are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which “The Heads” – murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.
31 recently screened at the Sundance Film Festival to mediocre reviews – no surprise there – but, it seems as though you’re going to love it if you’ve found Zombie’s previous flicks mighty entertaining. As huge fans of Rob Zombie’s films, we can’t wait to see what Murder World offers; scary clowns, tons of frights and lots of gore, please.
31 stars Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Pancho Moler, Lew Temple, Richard Brake, Meg Foster, Judy Geeson, Jane Carr, Ginger Lynn, Daniel Roebuck, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Tracy Walter, E.G. Daily, Torsten Voges, David Ury, Bari Suzuki, Devin Sidell, and Kevin Jackson.
