Writer-director Buddy Cooper is back with a decades-later sequel to his 1984 slasher movie The Mutilator—and the official trailer teases a meta approach.
The Mutilator 2 will return to the infamous condo on the beach from the original film. By the looks of the trailer, the story will centre around murders inspired by The Mutilator, which exists as a film within the sequel’s universe.
We don’t know much more about the plot at this time, though we expect a big body count and plenty of gore!
Ruth Martinez and Bill Hitchcock return for The Mutilator 2. The cast also includes Terry Kiser (Friday The 13th Part VII), Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night), Chaney Morrow (Wrong Turn), Cody Cameron (The Neon Demon), and Eva Hamilton (Ruin Me). Excitingly, Alexander Taylor (Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street) is creating the film’s score.
The Mutilator 2 wrapped production last May. Check out the trailer below!
