The Haunting of Hill House was one of last year’s best horror TV shows. In fact, it was one of last year’s best TV shows, period. Mike Flanagan brought Shirley Jackson’s novel to life in a unique, unsettling and inspiring way. It was equally as terrifying as it was heart-breaking. We couldn’t wait to see what a season 2 would bring.
As expected, the Crain’s story is done and dusted, so there’ll be no more from the haunted Hill House. Marking the series as an Anthology, season 2 will adapt Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw and be named The Haunting of Bly Manor. This will mean a whole new story and new characters.
Check out a teaser video over on Twitter here and look out for The Haunting of Bly Manor in 2020. Netflix has signed a multi-year deal with Mike Flanagan – and Trevor Macy – so we expect him to return to the production in some respect.
