A remake of director Stephan Rick’s German thriller Unter Nachbarn, The Good Neighbor has cast Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Dracula).
The film will follow David and Robert, new neighbours who find themselves bonded by a hit-and-run accident. When the dead girl’s sister shows up to investigate, David, overcome with guilt, wonders if he can find redemption. Robert, on the other hand, is determined to bury the past and keep his new friend for himself—no matter the cost.
Rick returns to direct the remake and also co-wrote the script with Ross Partridge. Kia Jam and Igor Pronin are executive producing, with Dean Altit and Yulia Zayceva serving as producers.
