Empire Magazine has shared the official trailer for The Beta Test, a new horror-thriller co-written and directed by Jim Cummings (The Wolf of Snow Hollow) and PJ McCabe, who also star.
The film follows a ruthless talent agent called Jordan (Cummings) who, shortly before his wedding, receives a mysterious envelope offering no-strings-attached sex with a stranger in a hotel room. Initially amused, then intrigued, he becomes obsessed by the idea of a secret erotic adventure and impulsively accepts. But will he regret his choices when his meticulous, superficial world threatens to collapse under the weight of his burgeoning lies?
Virginia Newcomb, Kevin Changaris, Olivia Grace Applegate, Jessie Barr, Keith Powell, Joy Sunday, Wilkey Lau, Malin Barr, and Christian Hillborg also star in The Beta Test, which IFC Films will be releasing in select theatres and on VOD and digital platforms in the U.S. on November 5th.
