“TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE: THE GAME” TEASES A NEW MAP AND NEW CHARACTERS

Posted on: November 17th, 2023

“Will you walk into my parlor?” Said a spider to a fly. Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game dares us to take a step into the unknown as they appear to announce a new map and character.

In a short clip posted to the game’s official X account, we see a young man approach a home surrounded by impeccably kept flowers. After knocking on the front door, he gets an answer from a none-too-friendly looking older woman, who bears a striking resemblance to Luda May Hewitt of the remake timeline.

The clip ends with that familiar Texas Chain Saw music sting and a message imploring us to “stay tuned.”

A very intriguing teaser indeed, as it appears the game makers are mixing up the continuity and drawing inspiration for their characters from every incarnation of the series. Be it original timeline, remake, reboot, it seems we’ll get nods to it all. This no doubt makes series fans very excited.

This tease comes just weeks after the game dropped a brand-new cosmetics pack in the lead up to Halloween. The new DLC features new outfits for every survivor, and a brand-new skin for Leatherface, designed by Greg Nicotero.

The unspoken promise of that drop was that there would be more to come very soon, and now it seems like it’s about to come to pass. So, who is this mysterious woman? How is she connected to Leatherface and his family… And most importantly, what will her special killing ability be? Hopefully we’ll find out very soon!
