It’s currently got 4 million players, and will soon be the only slasher survival game adaption of a popular series left standing…
So, it’s about time we got some new DLC from Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game, right?
That’s exactly what we’re getting! And it may just be one of the best Leatherface looks to date.
Much like Friday the 13th: The Game, Gun Interactive have recruited a special effects legend to give our favourite chain saw wielding fiend a makeover. Greg Nicotero, creator of The Walking Dead and formerly of K.N.B Effects, has lent a chilling new visage to Leatherface that harkens back to his recent 2022 outing, but also possesses an eerie ethereal quality.
In conjunction with GameStop, Gun Interactive unveiled a teaser wherein Nicotero breaks down his new design, saying the following:
“It’s not as traditional as a lot of the other masks. It wasn’t a single face that was cut out, but it was multiple bits. I liked the idea of using a mouth as one of the eye holes. It was a different experience for me to take a character that not only a lot of people know, but sort of evolving it.”
Nicotero Leatherface will be available later this month, coming with a brand-new outfit and a new “aged” chain saw sound effect. It will be available for purchase at all good online game outlets for $15.99.
