Teaser for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children Wishes us a Happy Loop Day

Posted on: September 6th, 2015

The first teaser for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has been unveiled. For those who have read the novel, you’ll know that September 3rd 1940 is a very important date known as Loop Day. The space-time continuum surrounding Miss Peregrine’s Home is reset every day to this time, so that the residents can escape a bomb that lands on their school during World War 2. Pretty nifty, huh? This means everyone stays the same age for eternity and can rarely leave the Home. Not so nifty.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children follows a young boy who is desperate to prove that his late Grandfather’s fantastical tales of peculiar children –and monsters – are real. The story is touching and, at times scary, so director Tim Burton should be perfect for bringing the story to the big screen.

Take a look below and immerse yourself in 60 seconds of pocket watch goodness. Even though there is no footage from the film in this trailer, it is a sweet little tease. Releasing the video on September 3rd was also a nice touch.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will be released on 19th February 2016 in the UK and on 4th March 2016 in the USA. The film stars Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Asa Butterfield and Judi Dench.
