It’s only just been released in the USA and it hasn’t even hit the UK yet, but there are already loose talks surrounding a sequel to Lights Out. Nothing, of course, has been set in stone, but producer Lawrence Grey has said that it depends on the fans’ reaction to the first film. It’s quite an obvious point really, but it’s always great to hear the potential confirmation of more horror.
Synopsis:
When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn’t real when the lights went out…and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has re-emerged. But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger…once the lights go out.
Lights out is based on the short film from David F. Sandberg – who is currently filming Annabelle 2 – and has also been produced by James Wan. It is out now in the USA and will hit the UK on 19th August.
