Some people will do anything for a good rating…

Shudder has dropped a trailer for its new original vacation rental-themed horror movie Superhost, which had its world premiere at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival this past weekend. The film is checking into Shudder in North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand on September 2nd—but its characters may never be checking out!

In the film, Teddy and Claire are travel vloggers who run a channel called “SUPERHOST” where they share their experiences in and around vacation homes. Until recently, the channel had been a success, but their subscriber count is starting to dwindle. Then they meet Rebecca, the host of their most recent trip, and think they’ve stumbled upon a viral opportunity.

Slowly, however, the pair start to realise that something isn’t right with Rebecca—and as they investigate further, they unlock a horrifying truth. Their host doesn’t just want a great review, but something far worse…

Osric Chau (Supernatural), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), and Gracie Gilliam (Z Nation) star in Superhost alongside Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator). Brandon Christensen (Z) wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Kurtis David Harder (Spiral).

Pack your bags, grab your camera, and watch the trailer below!
