Surely one of the biggest crowds at the San Diego ComiCon was amassed for the debut of the new full trailer for season 2 of Netflix’s Stranger Things, which will take place a year after the events of season 1.
Star Finn Wolfhard recently told fans that Season 2 of the smash show will be “darker” and “more horror oriented“ than the already pretty dark and horror orientated first season, and from the looks of this footage, he’s pretty much on the money.
Using Michael Jackson’s Thriller and its Vincent Price voiceover to strong effect, the trailer puts Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) front and centre and shows that he is far from unscathed following his time in the Upside-Down. We also see something far bigger than season 1’s Demogorgon causing havoc in Hawkins, plenty of cool Halloween imagery and the return of Eleven, and what seems to be her finding a way back from the Upside-Down. And just what have the boys caught in that Ghostbusters trap?
Stranger Things returns to Netflix on October 27th.
