Things are really heating up for M3GAN spin-off SOULM8TE! Just last week we reported that the project had found its two leads, and now, we bring you another high-profile casting announcement.
Claudia Doumit, best known for her role as Victoria Neuman in The Boys and Gen V, has joined SOULM8TE in an undisclosed role.
Doumit joins Evil Dead Rise star Lily Sullivan and Fargo actor David Rysdahl as the project’s leads, with more announcements expected soon.
SOULM8TE comes to us from writer-director Kate Dolan, and will take place within the same universe as 2023’s killer android flick M3GAN.
Said to be “in the style of a 90’s erotic thriller,” SOULM8TE is described as:
“Following a man (Rysdahl) who acquires an Artificially Intelligent android (Sullivan) to help him cope with the recent loss of his wife. In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, the man inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.”
Of the film and what she hopes to portray on-screen, Kate Dolan had the following to say:
“Fundamentally, I view this film as an exploration of relationships and loneliness,” Dolan said in a recent statement. “Despite technological advances, there are enduring human truths we cannot escape, and I am looking forward to delving into those depths.”
Set for release on January 2nd 2026, Blumhouse and Atomic Monster undoubtedly hope to repeat M3GAN’s box-office triumph. We too are eager to see the outcome of this “darker, more risqué” spin-off.
