Ahead of its SXSW premiere over the weekend, the first trailer emerged for What Keeps You Alive, a vicious-looking thriller that sets a couple against each other during their one-year anniversary.
The film was written and directed by Colin Minihan, whose previous feature, It Stains the Sands Red proved a popular festival hit last year. It stars Jigsaw’s Hannah Emily Anderson and Brittany Allen (It Stains the Sands Red) as the warring lovers, as well as Martha MacIsaac (2009’s The Last House on the Left, Superbad) and Joey Klein (Painless).
The trailer doesn’t give much away and, despite a hushed tone, seems to suggest something gut-wrenching and impactful. This seems like one to keep an eye on to me.
