The SCYTHE campaign ends Thursday, May 5th at 7AM PST. Jim Rothman has worked tirelessly to help his campaign get to the $50,000 mark. As of this writing he is at $32,400. For the past 7 years, Rothman has financed his own films. That is Jim’s dedication to being a self starter & taking it upon himself to make his own dreams come true. He has raised half of the budget in order for him to shoot his first feature film. Kickstarter would provide the other half and he is very close to doing that. We here at SCREAM Magazine respect artists who works hard and create art independently. And Rothman has certainly done that. The average Kickstarter campaign gets 600 backers. Jim currently has 210. Meaning, if our community, the horror film community, comes out and pledges to support Jim, he will make his goal. A modern version of a slasher film without the cliches deserves to be seen. There are all kinds of creative and awesome perks available. Let’s help Jim get his first feature off the ground and pledge to his campaign today!
