New city. New rules. New kind of killer. Ghostface may be returning to our screens this March, but as the official trailer makes clear, this Ghostface is unlike any other!
The new trailer is packed with franchise Easter eggs, including clothing worn by former killers and victims alike. Eagle-eyed fans will also spot items from the franchise-within-a-franchise Stab movies and even props from the college production of Agamemnon that Sydney was set to star in before the fatal events of Scream 2.
In Scream VI: “Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”
Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Jenna Ortega are all back for the sequel along with returning stars Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere. The cast also includes Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Dermot Mulroney (Umma), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jack Campion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (Ghostwriter), Josh Segarra (Arrow), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not).
Scream VI was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Ready or Not). The script was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
