The release of Scream 7 is right around the corner!
So, of course, this is the perfect time for the movie to drop its official rating. According to the MPA’s official listing, Scream 7 has been rated “R” for:
“Strong bloody violence and language.”
This tracks with how Scream VI was rated, so promises a bloody good time.
Things are looking promising for the seventh entry, despite its turbulent road to screens, as the film is tracking well at the box-office.
Initially reported to debut to $30 million, Scream 7 broke the record for the most tickets pre-sold in one day. This was a feat previously held by 2025’s The Conjuring: Last Rites, which went on to debut to $83 million domestically. So, it’s safe to say audiences are eager to see this film.
Scream 7 stars an ensemble cast led by franchise stars Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox.
Isabel May, Joel McHale, Jasmin Savoy-Bown, Mason Gooding, Sam Rechner, Mckenna Grace, and Asa Germann are just a few of the new names entering the franchise with this seventh entry.
The movie will slash into theatres on February 27th 2026, and we’re undeniably intrigued to see how it goes over.
