It’s no surprise to anyone, of course. But we’re very happy to report that Saw X has been rated R, furthermore, director Kevin Greutert has promised more John Kramer than ever before.
Rated R for “Grisly bloody violence and torture,” Saw X sounds to be just what we’ve come to expect from the franchise.
The rating comes just as director Kevin Greutert gives fans an insight into what to expect from this entry.
“Kramer is the centre of the story,” Greutert begins. “He will feature more here than in any other Saw movie.”
“[Saw X] is an emotional journey that you go on with John Kramer, and less a slaughterhouse that you experience from the point of view of the victims. Obviously there will be people that can’t handle it, but I think it has a good chance of appealing to people beyond gore freaks.”
So, it seems that Saw X has more of an emotional core than any of the previous entries, as well as delivering the ingenious but gruesome traps fans so adore.
Alongside Jigsaw actor Tobin Bell, Saw X sees the return of Shawnee Smith as Jigsaw apprentice Amanda Young.
Saw X also stars Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnøve Macody, Steven Brand and Michael Beach.
The movie releases on September 29th 2023 via Lionsgate, and looks set to be very popular with audiences. We will keep a close eye on the movie’s performance and report the numbers as soon as we have them.
