Order has been restored, because Saw is returning to our screens on Halloween. Haven’t the past 5 years been sad and Saw-free? I remember heading to the cinema dressed as a vampire to catch the “final” Saw in 3D back in 2010, how time has flown.
Saw: Legacy has secured a release date for 27th October 2017, so there will only be one more year until Saw is back in our lives. We can do this! The Spierig Brothers (Predestination, Daybreakers) are directing the new Saw with a script written by Josh Stahlberg and Pete Goldfinger (Piranha 3DD), which will be the eighth in the franchise and possibly the last. There is no word on whether the series will continue after Legacy or whether this is just going to be one more final Saw hurrah.
We’re excited for more Saw and can’t wait to discover what direction the new film is going to head in. So far, all has been quiet on the story front, but hopefully this will soon change.
