In this golden era of remakes, reboots, revamps and spin-offs, Twentieth Century Fox is all set to release the eagerly anticipated Poltergeist (in cinemas May 22). Whilst there are more than a few doubting Thomases out there when it comes to remakes, the film’s director, Gil Kenan (Monster House) and producer Sami Raimi (Evil Dead, The Grudge) are here in a special featurette to put your mind at ease as they discuss updating Tobe Hooper’s 1982 original for a modern day audience.
Starring Sam Rockwell (Moon), Rosemarie DeWitt (Kill the Messenger) and Jared Harris (The Quiet Ones), Poltergeist will be making its way to UK cinemas on May 22nd. Keep your kids more than an arm’s length away from any tellies because they’re almost here……..
In the meantime we’ll leave you with the special behind-the-scenes featurette and a brand new poster released this very morning.
Synopsis:
Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan contemporise the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.
