SALEM’S LOT REMAKE LOSES ITS RELEASE DATE

Posted on: September 1st, 2022

The release of the Salem’s Lot remake was recently bumped from September 9th, 2022 all the way back to April 21st, 2023, but it’s since been yanked from the release schedule altogether. That’s not to say that we won’t get to see it, just that we don’t know when.

Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle Comes Home) wrote and directed the currently undated film, which is based on the 1975 book of the same name by Stephen King. The film will also be set in 1975. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his loyal servant.”

Lewis Pullman (The Strangers: Prey at Night), Makenzie Leigh (Gotham), Alfre Woodard (Annabelle), Bill Camp (The Outsider), John Benjamin Hickey (Hannibal), Nicholas Crovetti (Goodnight Mommy), Jordan Preston Carter (DMZ), William Sadler (The Mist), Spencer Treat Clark (The Last Exorcism Part II), Cade Woodward (A Quiet Place), Debra Christofferson (Outcast), and Pilou Asbaek (Overlord) star in Salem’s Lot, which was produced by James Wan. This marks the third time that the novel has been adapted.
