It’s been a little while since we heard any signs of life from the Salem’s Lot remake that’s in the works over at New Line, but the first casting news has clawed its way out of the coffin! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lewis Pullman (The Strangers: Prey at Night) has signed on to star.
Pullman will play Ben Mears, an author who returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book. Unfortunately, the town has fallen prey to a vampire, leading Ben to band together a ragtag group to fight the evil presence.
Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle Comes Home) is writing this fresh take on the classic Stephen King story and is also attached to direct. James Wan will produce the film along with Roy Lee and Mark Wolper, with Dauberman executive producing.
