RIP ROCKY HORROR STAR MEAT LOAF

Posted on: January 23rd, 2022

We are saddened to hear that rock legend Meat Loaf has passed away at the age of 74.

The musician and actor, whose real name was Marvin Lee Aday, was best known for his 1977 album Bat Out of Hell, which remains of the best-selling albums of all time and spawned a musical of the same name in 2017. Of course, Meat Loaf himself was no stranger to musicals, famously playing “low-down cheap little punk” Eddie in 1975’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the cult film that launched a thousand shadowcasts at midnight screenings around the world.

Meat Loaf’s other acting credits include roles in Fight Club, Wayne’s World, and Bloodrayne. He also appeared in episodes of both Tales from the Crypt and Masters of Horror.
