It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the death of Christopher Plummer. The acting legend passed away at his home in Connecticut. He was 91.

Plummer’s career spanned many decades and countless genres. In the horror world, he was known for movies like Dracula 2000, Priest, Dolores Claiborne, and Wolf. Outside of the genre, he left his mark on countless beloved films, from The Sound of Music to 12 Monkeys. More recently, he starred as Harlan Thrombey in Rian Johnson’s acclaimed whodunit Knives Out.

In 2011, Plummer won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Mike Mills’ Beginners. He was nominated for the award twice more throughout his career, in 2009 for The Last Station and again in 2018 for All the Money in the World.
