We are saddened to hear that cult filmmaker Norman J. Warren has passed away at the age of 78.
The English director helmed a string of horror movies throughout his career, most notably 1981’s Inseminoid. He also directed Satan’s Slave (1976), Prey (1977), Terror (1978), and Bloody New Year (1987’s).
While Warren ceased making feature films in 1987, releasing only a handful of shorts in the following decades, his work remains an important pillar in the pantheon of British horror cinema. He has had multiple documentaries made about his films, including 1999’s Evil Heritage and 2020’s A Very English Exploitation.
