Everyone has going a bit crazy speculating about the news surrounding Neil Blomkamp’s Alien 5 and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus 2, but we can now confirm that Scott’s next film will be Prometheus 2. In an interview about The Martian Ridley Scott said, “[…] I was starting to look for locations for my next movie, which is ‘Prometheus 2.’”
So, there we have it. It is now looking more certain that Alien 5 is planning to begin production after the Prometheus sequel. Prometheus 2 is likely to be released in 2017, meaning that Alien 5 should arrive in 2018. It’s still a good few years away yet, but I’m positive that it will be worth the wait.
For Ridley Scott sci-fi action we’ll have to enjoy The Martian when it is released on 30th September 2015, and from what we’ve seen so far, it looks pretty great.
