It looks like the games are set to begin again…
Rumours of a sequel to Radio Silence’s hit Ready or Not have sporadically appeared since the 2019 movie made a killing at the box-office.
Last we reported, Radio Silence commented on the possibility of a sequel in 2023, sounding hopeful that they would return.
However, it appears things are now taking a different course, as a reliable source tells us someone new will be taking the reins.
Adam Robitel, known for his directing work on Escape Room, Insidious: The Last Key, and The Taking of Deborah Logan is reportedly at the helm. Currently it is unknown why Radio Silence have opted not to return, but scheduling difficulties seem the most likely cause. The directing duo have been swamped with work offers following their success with 2022’s Scream and its 2023 sequel.
However, Ready or Not fans need not despair! According to our source, lead actress Samara Weaving has signed on to the project, meaning the blood-spattered bride is due to return.
Currently that is all we know about this upcoming sequel, and since it is still in the very early stages of development, it may be some time before it reaches the big screen.
However, we will keep our ear to the ground on this one, and bring you any further updates as we have them.
