After a lengthy period of silence, we now have the update we’ve all been waiting for, a trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come!
Picking up right where we left off, the trailer reintroduces us to Samara Weaving’s Grace. Having survived her brutal wedding night, she’s seen in the hospital.
However, there’s a severe price for surviving the game… Kidnapped and confronted by the higher-ups of the cult she survived, Grace is thrown into another life-or-death game.
Her survival has triggered a hunt to the death, with multiple high-rollers attempting to be the one to slay Grace. Their prize? World domination!
Despite her reluctance to fight back, the powers-that-be have the ultimate bargaining chip to force Grace’s hand… Grace’s sister.
Looking like everything that made the 2019 original a hit, but on speed, this sequel goes for the jugular.
Speaking recently on Ready or Not: Here I Come, filmmakers Radio Silence made the following comments on the sequel:
“The sequel goes hand in hand with the first in an unexpected yet seamless way. It’s exciting to see Grace get into a new fucked-up situation that deepens her story and her character, and we wanted to make sure that this movie wasn’t just more of the same. We put a ton of love into this movie to make it a worthy sequel that we’re hoping fans of the first movie — and people who are getting to know Grace for the first time — will really love.”
Similarly, star Samara Weaving gave her thoughts on the film:
“It’s so unhinged, absolutely cooked. Those sicko writers came up with a way in that’s somehow both a natural progression and very surprising.”
Alongside Weaving, Ready or Not 2 features a stacked cast, including genre icons like Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and David Cronenberg.
