META Publishing and developer ONE-O-ONE Games have announced a new psychological survival thriller game called AFTERMATH that certainly seems to have horror elements!
Players will follow Charlie Gray, a talented engineer and European astronaut. Her career brought her to where most people could only dream of, but following a reentry to earth gone wrong and the traumatic events that ensued, Charlie returns a broken spirit. With her life spiralling into darker and darker places, Charlie now finds herself isolated in a deserted, defragmented world. The only constant is her daughter, Sammy. But with Sammy missing, Charlie must fight both an unearthly presence and her own demons if she hopes to find her.
With stunning aesthetics created by Italian visual arts master Alessandro Bavari (Suspiria), AFTERMATH will allow players to explore a detailed recreation of a city steeped in history, defragmented by an ancient alien artefact that looms above. The game will also see players using Charlie’s engineering mind and scientific approach to take a realistic approach to crafting, inventing blueprints based on what you observe before finding and combining the necessary parts.
AFTERMATH is slated to release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG in 2022. Check out the slick reveal trailer below!
