Patrick Dempsey will be playing the lead role in Janusz Kaminski’s The Postcard Killing; a thriller about a New York Detective (Dempsey) who is investigating the murder of his recently married daughter. He soon discovers that similar murders have been carried out around Europe and they all have one thing in common; the killer delivered a postcard to a local reporter.
Director Kaminski has worked in the cinematography department of films Schindler’s List, Minority Report and Bridge of Spies, but only has a few directorial credits to his name. They include 2000’s Lost Souls and 2007’s Hania. He has also directed episodes of The Event and The Divide.
Patrick Dempsey, who has starred in Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon and Grey’s Anatomy, joins Dakota Fanning in The Postcard Killings. The film has a release date slated for 2017.
