There has been buzz of late that Parker Finn’s sequel to 2022’s Smile has disclosed its official title.
According to multiple sources, some of whom are historically reliable, the project will be titled Smile Deluxe.
Upon learning this supposed scoop, many vented their displeasure online.
However, the word managed to find it’s way back to Paramount Pictures, who have now confirmed that the Smile title rumours are false.
Although still listed by various online outlets as “Untitled Smile Sequel,” we can confirm at present that the film is currently still named Smile 2. It was this title that accompanied the film’s showcase at Cinema-Con, and apparently this is the title they’re sticking to.
So, we continue to know precious little about the sequel, as plot details are still being closely guarded. However, a trailer is expected very soon.
Smile 2 will star Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, and Naomi Scott, and is expected to hit screens on October 18th 2022, just in time for Halloween.
