Criterion releases are limited to only the most prestigious and noteworthy of films; they feature in-depth analyses and special features with brand new, stunning artwork and give fans a must-have addition to their already hefty film collection. It’s always exciting when a new film gets added and we are pleased to report that Guillermo del Toro’s exceptional fantasy horror Pan’s Labyrinth will be getting the Criterion treatment.
Along with Cronos and The Devil’s Backbone, this will be the third of his films to be released from Criterion. There is no word on what special features the collection will include, but you can check out the beautiful artwork from Becky Cloonan on her Instagram page. She has created artwork for various graphic novels including The True Lives of the Fabulous Killyjoys by Gerard Way, as well as DC Comics’ Gotham Academy.
Criterion has an impressive set of horror releases that already includes The Vanishing, Rosemary’s Baby, Eyes Without a Face, Videodrome and more.
The Criterion release of Pan’s Labyrinth will be released this autumn.
