Sleeping Beauties is an upcoming novel collaboration between father-son outfit Stephen and Owen King which is set to be released in September. As Stephen King’s work is always hot property and the fact there’s a long list of his adaptations set to be adapted for the big and small screen already, has lead Anonymous Content to nab the rights to Sleeping Beauties before it’s even been released to the public.
The novel will be set in the near future where all women fall asleep and go to another place. If they are awakened they become feral and violent, which is obviously no good. With the men of the world abandoned, they discover that a woman named Evie is immune from the endless sleep; but why? Anonymous Content plan to turn the story into a television series, giving it the full potential to explore as much of the novel as possible.
The Sleeping Beauties novel will be released on 26th September and it’s certainly shot to the top of our “To Buy” list with this eagerness to nab the rights. More as it comes!
