Mike Flanagan’s (Absentia, Oculus) Ouija 2 has landed 4 new cast members with Parker Mack, Sam Anderson, Kate Siegel and Doug Jones. Kate Siegel had a small part in Oculus, so I hope she gets something she can really get her teeth in to with Ouija 2.
With the news that Mike Flanagan would be directing with a script from Jeff Howard, my excitement went through the roof. This could be a rare case where the horror sequel is better than the original. Ouija was not terrible, but it definitely needed a bit more intensity, which I hope Ouija 2 will have.
Mike Flanagan has just wrapped Hush which he has directed and written with Kate Siegel – the pair are becoming quite the collaboration. Flanagan is also working with Jeff Howard on the reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer, something I never thought I’d see in my lifetime. There is no director tied to the project yet, maybe this will be Flanagan’s next endeavour?
Ouija 2 has a slated release date for 21st October 2016.
