After rocking its premiere at the SXSW festival and receiving universal acclaim, we’ve been gifted a second trailer for Eli Craig’s Clown in a Cornfield. And… let’s just say, Art the Clown should definitely watch his back.
Giving us a much better look at the characters, the town, and the film’s dark satire, Clown in a Cornfield seems to have everything a slasher fan could want.
That’s most evident in the copious amount of gory carnage present in the clip. Frendo certainly isn’t messing around as he torments the residents of Kettle Springs. The demented clown uses blades, arrows, axes, gardening tools, and even a car to torment his chosen victims… As we previously stated, Art has some serious competition.
Looking like a bloody good time, the growing hype for this release is palpable, with genre fans anticipating that Frendo will be slasher cinema’s next gory icon.
From this clip, we’d say he’s well on his way!
Clown in a Cornfield is a feature film adaption of Adam Cesare’s novel of the same name. The movie stars Carson McCormac, Katie Douglas, Aaron Abrams, Kevin Durand, and Cassandra Potenza.
Coming to us from Shudder and RLJE Entertainment, Clown in a Cornfield is set to release theatrically on May 9th 2025.
